Which is Better for White to Learn, KIA or King's Gambit?

At say the 1500 level to crush other 1500 players and/or to become a 1700 player. My so called style is I like to attack in a Morphy or Tal manner, not a long watch the grass growing positional game.
Thoughts?
Probably only 10% of your opponents will play 1....e5 so you need some other knowledge as well as the KG. KIA ist ok, but no panacea.

Either way - there's no easy way out, most games are not won in the opening.
Start with e4 and d4 main lines and play normal stuff ... u will learn the most this way . And also u dont need to switch ur openings later when u move up!!
KIA does have many closed, positional games, so I would suggest KG. I've crushed many masters, including Jennifer and Greg Shadade, due to the rarity of the KG. However, the KIA is much sounder.
Outside of your choices, I would suggest e4 and the Smith-Morra Gambit against the Sicilian.
Kings Indian attack is fine and it saves you the trouble of a lot of opening theory, especially if you play the King's Indian Defence as black. Tal used to play 1 e4 c6 2 d3 d5 3 Nd2 so as to get into the KIA. Fischer played 1 e4 c5 2 Nf3 e6 3 d3 d5 4 Nbd2 or 1 e4 e6 2 d3 d5 3 Nd2 just the same.
King's Gambit is a nice opening, especially the lines with 3 Bc4 or 3 Be2 instead of 3 Nf3. However, there are many lines where black gives the pawn back, usually with ...d5 and the game gets positional anyway.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'll go with AlongCameJones, so KG it is then. If they go c5 on me, I'll go Smith-Morra, as I've been working on it some anyway. I suspect it'll take a lot just to learn the KG, so no KIA for now. Only 10% will play 1...e5? Was that a typo? I'd think at least 70%.
The crowd I play against, I doubt after f4 that they'll take it with exf4 in the KG; most I suspect will play d6 or Nc6. Thanks again.
Right, most games aren't won in the opening. I've heard it said that any GM can take the worst crap opening and still beat any 2000 player and that no opening at my level is unsound.
