how bad of a mistake it is
So which is the most serious one?
Oh, I see.
blunder is the worst, mistake is a bit less losing an inaccuaracy is the "best"
In short, An inaccuracy is something you want to avoid. A mistake is something you really want to avoid. A blunder is something you really, really want to avoid.
#4 Absolutely correct
Its like a difference between IBlunderALot, IMistakeALot and IInaccuracyALot
It's how bad of a move you played compared to the top engine move.
A Blunder is a serious error. Hanging a piece, failing to execute a mate in 4, making the wrong move in a pawn endgame resulting in a draw instead of win, that's what a blunder is.
An inaccuracy is a mild error. Perhaps you had a slight advantage, but made a move that allowed your opponent to equalize. Playing e6 and then b6 as black in the opening against 1.e5 is considered an inaccuracy, but it's still playable.
A mistake is somewhere in between the two.
