What kind of stupid puzzle is this???

>The queen is attacked and the computer opponent ignores it. Only Stockfish plays like this. Humans do not like to give away free queens.

you realize lichess puzzles are from games between real players on the site? you can see the names of the players on the puzzle.
That is true, but the correct solution to the puzzle is not always the same moves as what was actually played. Stockfish decides what the solution is, and the players may or may not have played the same moves.
In this puzzle for example, if you look up the game you will find that the players did not follow the solution at all and played a series of blunders instead.
"The queen is attacked and the computer opponent ignores it. Only Stockfish plays like this. Humans do not like to give away free queens."
Correction: weak players don't. Stronger players (given time) will see impending mate threats and either resign right away or go for the rook for the queen as SF did.

There are however puzzles which give away material because of the SF eval not putting you to test. Now if you can come up with an algorithm that can find the most testing continuations you are free to make a new tactics trainer.
The computer's defense should "test" whether White's sees 2.Bc3. But how to automize?
Good puzzle, you need to spot the black king still being in the centre and connect that with the black queen being 'trapped' defending both pawn and piece. Obviously, the white rook is attacked so moving it and attacking the black queen in the same move makes sense, but as many above have stated, this is a proper tactic. Just do it ;)
I don't think the puzzle should be removed, but it definitely shouldn't be rated 2000+, it is instantly solvable.
I think the puzzle is fine. I think it would be more interesting if it actually let you calculate the variation that leads to the win rather than simply giving up the queen, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it in principle.

"I don't think the puzzle should be removed, but it definitely shouldn't be rated 2000+, it is instantly solvable."

My impression is that puzzle ratings are derived dynamically by the success/failure rates of players against them and their puzzle ratings.
I think puzzle training should be updated. I am sure the developers have many ideas on improving puzzle training. I wonder when the next big puzzle update wil be.
I learned from it. I tried bc3 immediately but realized black has time to castle after re1 the next move so its not a good way to get the knight. If I play another few hundred puzzles like that I could see getting better at chess since it teaches you to optimize move order.

This on the other hand is the only truly useless puzzle I've seen and I have it saved because of that.

@hangrad actually I think this puzzle is great. In this situation the opponents queen isn't as powerful as usual, because it can barely move. Also there are checkmate threats. So it makes sense to me.

@testaccount42 I died testing your useless puzzle xD lmao - maybe it is because by promoting to a queen white is forced to take it, while white can ignore a knight and therefore could make a mistake. In this situation a check (tempo) isn't needed as white is out of pieces. Maybe not useless after all.
