I belive it is as simple as improving tactics a lot, along with a bit of opening work.
Also it will probably take more than 4 months.

As your puzzle rating is not astronomical.
Focus more on them. You did 173 today... quite a lot. and got around 50% of them wrong.

Uhh... 50% wrong looks like doing tactics the wrong way.
I would aim for 90% right and setting difficulty on "easier" for that. Calculate until you see the right combination.

Have you found out about your strengths and weaknesses ?
You do not need a chess coach for this, if you cannot afford it (though there are a lot of rather cheap coaches for $15 in the Lichess coach section) but you can also let a stronger or more experienced chess player check your games.

For watching videos I would go for GM Seirawan videos.
For training I would study books via Chessable.

Glad to see you're not talking about doing it in 4 months anyway. That's a good sign. :)

Put in 100hrs working on the most complex middlegame positions that give you trouble so you know them by heart.
Practice making your position impenetrable in the middle game so everyone makes a mistake being impatient to get through.
Choose 2 less common but great variations that you can actually play often and make them your greatest strengths. Know ever possible position against them.
On top of all that over the next 3 months schedule specific time (Saturdays 6pm) every week to perfect your endgame in the most used variations you play or the ones giving you trouble. Create positions down a piece or two pawns and find a way to win then equal endgames will feel easier.

You should be able to find them while looking at your games. You can get help from a chess coach, or chess friends for this.
For example : I am handy with some rook endgames, which have given me a lot of good results.
Therefore I know that if I have a worse position I can go for a rook ending, and then still win or draw.
Good luck.
