tournament policing

@Sarg0n thanks for the links - very interesting.

I actually meant how do the people on this thread who say are coming up against cheaters all the time know that they're playing cheaters?

I understand if they're making perfect moves every 4 seconds, but I assume they're less obvious about it than that...
I agree with #16. When a cheater/sandbagger gets removed (which is frequent in Uxxxx tournaments), then the rankings should be adjusted. If you end up 2nd, and then the 1st gets banned for cheating, but you don't get the tourney win, it feels unfair.

Raising the minimum number of games (possibly with a won games condition as quick losses don't work then) to enter a tournament for a new account would also help to limit the issue.

Having an analysis of WDL inside tournaments and outside tournaments would help picking up on sandbaggers more effectively. I have seen cases that any half-decent algorithm would have picked up, but there is none for this right now.
i think that the people in this conversation have agreed this would best:

1. increase the reqirements for tourney entry, possibly time based. if its a month, a cheater only gets a dozen at most chances to cheat if they are caught in a year.

real time scanning would still be nice because getting removed while playing greatly reduces the motivation to cheat. hopefully i can bother some mods or go to the features forum to see if some changes can be made. i apprecaite everyone that had constructive feedback regarding this issue
there are too many borderline cases, ´that is clever tricksters, that cannot be stopped. Even the obious ones are not stopped.
