To all in Switzerland

Dear chessfriends in Switzerland

Do you know the "Swiss Team Battle"?
This is a league with promotion and relegation for teams in Switzerland:
lichess.org/team/swiss-team-battle

Wouldn't that be something for you?

In this tournament you can find "real" Swiss chess clubs, school chess groups, company chess teams, university teams, junior teams, but also lichess teams with hobby players from Switzerland, who are otherwise not in any chess club.

Beginners and hobby players who play a game in lichess from time to time just for fun and have a lichess rating of 600 are as well participating as grandmasters with a lichess rating of more than 2700. Nationality, age, gender etc. do not matter.
What everyone in the "Swiss Team Battle" has in common is a relationship to Switzerland.

We play every 2 weeks on Tuesday evening, next time on 29.12.2020, then again on 12.01.2021, etc.

You don't play with us yet?
Then join one of the many participating teams, or create your own lichess team with just a few clicks, for which only 3 players are needed: lichess.org/team/new .

This is the best team promotion I've seen! It articulates who their target is, what they have to offer that demographic, gives clear expectations, and is courteous.

I think this is the first self-promotion I haven't downvoted - I feel like I'm Santa Claus personified!
This is not a team promotion - this is a LEAGUE promotion! :-)
Lars (eineRolleKlopapier) does great job there!!
Swiss-Team-Battle is a clone of the official Lichess Q-League - but for teams and players who are located in Switzerland.
The idea came up as players noticed that playing twice a week is way too much for the ones who have job, family and other commitments.
Would love to encourage all Swiss-players to join that fun competition.
Merry Christmas, Happy Chessing and all best!
