@Developmentals That reasoning is probably correct. That's also the reason why in endgames, stockfish shows -61 right before showing like #_ (mate in something). Because the checkmate sequence has yet to be calculated. So here, stockfish "thinks" there is a checkmate in my -99.0 position, but it requires a much higher depth to show equality I think.
@A_0123456 Yeah, Stockfish hasn’t found the answer at the current depth, yet the eval is too good in Stockfish’s mind
Oh sorry not right. White won’t capture.
@Dugbug
Source please?
And also, I'm having Stockfish as a topic in my diploma. Am I allowed to use this position?

@spd7693 I don't think the position is copyrighted or anything, is it?
This is not something that breaks mighty stockfish.
Actually they can't detect fortress

@delta48 Traditional engines evaluation functions contain huge amoutn of postional understanding. Way above typicla Elo 2000. And at the end of the day chess is concrete game. much of positional wisdom is merely substitute for lack of analysis.
What they are missing is concept of progress and here for human it is obvioys that there is no possibility of progress and all other factors become irrelevant.
see what does relatively far from stockfish consider:
www.chessprogramming.org/CPW-Engine_eval
better part of code is evaluating positional factors

But somehow this IS recognized as a draw by stockfish?
@Dugbug it's not a forced draw because white could still make the mistake of capturing a sacrificed rook on a light square. It is a draw of course, but it is not a dead draw yet.
