Hello everyone I recently wondered about the maximum number of games played in one day on Lichess. If someone knows the answer to this question, then let's know! I think this is an interesting topic to discuss on the forums, let's discuss it!
Not sure number per day but, Im concerned about someone's mental health who has played close to 700k games over all ! That is not healthy for anyone! Get out and live life please!
^that person plays just to play, not get better, they are going for 1,000,000 games played

I once played about 400-500 games in Ultrabullet (I don't remember exactly how many lol), but I saw @DarkOnCrack play 500+ games a day, I think that's close to a record)
I am not even sure if the question is about one specific player, or simply across all players on this platform.

I agree it looks somewhat concerning, but then, there are much worse ways to spend one's limited lifetime. And at the end, we all die, and it doesn't really matter if you were playing chess or climbing mountains. At least, when old and sick I could still play chess...

I played the most games on https://lichess.org/tournament/spring25 . 25 games!
i know this is not theory but just what the max is, but i think (with casual games vs someone where it is draw in one move, or checkmate in one every time) you could finish a game in probably 2-5 seconds. if it takes 5 seconds to finish one game you will get 12 a minute or 720 an hour. if a day is 24 hours, and you somehow do this for all the hours you could get 17280 games in a single day. if you also play some real games at the same time (for example rapid or classical rated) you could probably do 17300 in a day. i would not suggest trying this, and i dont know if they really count as games when they are that fast.

The home page has numbers, so put them in a spreadsheet and create your own graph.

haha, yeah. i could probably get more! maybe i will try to get a world record in this soon! ;)
