Some pieces stop showing

@MTackett

Li has a few minor bugs especially with the display

rare but they can happen
situation is improving
but perfection is not possible
Yes, but I'm not asking for perfection. A render issue should be correctable. It's like playing Mario just for some of the enemies to not be visible. That's no minor bug.
I feel a bit sorry since I cannot play this morning on my notebook, the two white bishops are still missing. In the diagrams, in the editor, in the captchas. Yesterday I aborted one game, sry to my opponent.

I have a 960 game (correspondence, move confirmation on) where the Rook disappears after 0-0-0. Sent the move anyway, and the Rook has reappeared. On the analysis board, the Rook showed just fine, but on the main board it disappeared.
A member said this "normal". I have not played that many 960 games to know for sure if it happens in all positions, where the Rook disappears with move confirmation. I would not expect this to be "standard" and is a Bug that needs fixing.

In your case this is the move confirmation.

In cases where they are other pieces, for example bishops or pawns, it is a display bug. But when you castle in 960 the rook and king first go to the same square. Then lichess finds the correct square for the rook after you click confirm.
The Rook disappearing in 960 with move confirmation enabled may be the "cause" but this obviously needs fixing. There is no reason for a piece not to be shown. It is shown on the analysis board, why have it disappear on the main board ??? It can only lead to confusion, as in my case. Nothing is stated in the 960 rules, how to play, that the Rook will disappear when explaining how castling works.
I will soon find out if this happens for other positions or was peculiar to the one I played.
Ive had this issue too; also with Chrome.

Even had a issue where ALL of my pieces; visually; ended up on A8 at the start of the game; all stacked upon each other.

On analysis board there is no move confirmation, which is why the rook quickly slides behind the king and then slides to the correct square. Not the same case in a game. But yes, they should probably change it.
