Sandbagging

I got accused of sandbagging because I had been resigning a few games in which my opponent had mate in a couple of moves or they had taken my queen. I thought that sandbaggers resigned won games. Anyway, the important thing is I didn't get banned wrongly.
By the way, are warning and banning messages sent automatically?
