Sandbagging

Since your lowest ever rating is 2052, I don't see how 100 points higher is skyrocketing...

It's pretty standard to go up and down between 100-200 points in rating.

Since you are a swede, you just want attention, eller hur? :D
"Banned" suggests a members account was deleted by Staff. (Which does occur). The term gets used incorrectly all the time. Players are "labeled" or "flagged" at Lichess for computer assistance or sandbagging etc., but are not banned. (They are banned from tournament play, but not from the site)
The case of Atrophied was the saddest. It was not sandbagging after all... He confessed , proving that the mods are (almost) always right.
No, I don't want to get attention. Players have given up after 10 move or so, in an equal position, and then wanted a rematch. It is frustrating.
And the reason why I got such a high rating from the beginning is that players here are overrated on account of sandbagging.
@Lygodactylus...
What is your motivation for making this false claim?
Your games can be viewed by everyone. There is a single game out of your 90 classical games where a player resigned early. (This took all of 20 seconds to view). All your other games went the distance or you agreed to a draw. You had exactly 1 game that went 10 moves in your entire history. Why the lie?
Not a single player in your history can be accused of sandbagging. The onetime, sometimes players may have a pressing issue and need to leave the game. Seems you have some kind of "agenda".
No, I have no agenda! I'm just frustrated at the weak opposition. Players tend to not give up, in "classical" games, despite having lost a piece or two. I have to play these tedious games to the end. It is disrespectful not to give up (although not always). So there is much amateurish play on this site. Why don't people learn some opening theory so that they can put up a fight! And stop sandbagging!
@mdinnerspace
Awesome. We agree on something. I was beginning to worry :P

@Lygodactylus Giving up on a chess game after losing a piece or two is...simply put....idiocy. I mean; given; there are certain positions where winning is virtually impossible. Then there are times that you can be down to some pawns and maybe a bishop/knight/castle vs queen/kk/b/c and still pull out a sneaky checkmate.

Only playing to the end when you have a distinct advantage, whats the fun in that? Its the most fun when you are down a few pieces and then still manage to eek out that nasty win.
No, instead of playing a meaningless game, hoping that the opponent will blunder his queen, it' better to start a new game. In Internet chess you can begin a new game immediately, instead of waiting for the next round. So there is no reason to persist in completely lost positions.

Indeed, one can sometimes save some rating points. But what's the reward in that? It simply doesn't matter if you lose rating points, because the rating system is progressive. The lower rating you have the faster you progress. So you will end up on the same rating, anyhow. So one should give up completely lost positions, otherwise it's a waste of energy and time. Begin a good game of chess, instead.
