I'm nobody but I acknowledge your pain, you're right there is an issue.
It's obvious if you only play a subset of a variant (rapid), in a environment where bullet and rapid rating are mixed + few total amount of players + large amount of provisionals + it seems that playing a provisional still affect grandly your "definitive" rating.
I would definitely get mad too.
