Lost against a player with bishop only

Hi guys. I recently lost a game against a player with bishop only. Shouldn't it be draw? Maybe in blitz games there are different rules?

I would be happy to get an answer.
Adam :)
Think rules are that if you run out of time and there is still a possible legal checkmate for your opponent, then they win.

Here, although you probably wouldn't have underpromoted to a knight or bishop and boxed your own king in the corner so they could mate you, it was at least still possible for you to do so!
i guess that rule at least avoids inconsistencies, but it looks strange. Does Fide follow the same rule for determining mating material?

Yes. The idea is that it doesn't matter how well you perform, a loss on time is a loss on time.
at pointlesswindows true but that's the rules. why downvote people who explain the rules?

As long as there is a possible scenario for your opponent (no matter how improbable) to deliver checkmate with the remaining pieces on the board, you will lose upon timing out -- this includes forcefully promoting a pawn of yours to a convenient piece that'd allow your opponent to checkmate you
