The problem I have is that account closure just seems to be too steep a penalty. I can understand a ban for a lengthy period like a month but permanent closure? Given that on this Forum many people are claiming to be unjustly targeted, I think Lichess should be more temperate in their decisions. Even if someone is cheating, a stiff penalty that's NOT permanent account closure will likely be an effective deterrent. Who would risk permanent closure for a second cheating offense. Only total morons would risk such a thing if they value the opportunity to play chess. Of course, there exist total morons but even total morons can understand the idea that another offense would be the end of their days on Lichess.
The mark is removed. On his profile!!!!!
Instead of using so much brain grey matter to write those stories and analyses of what really happened, why don't you take a real life example: Go to court, the judge is bored and he sentences you.
Lichess mods are very bored creatures. Somebody reported the poor guy, and the mod flagged him without examination.
End of the story. That's why I am always closing my accounts. The Internet. Pifffff....

@psssssst Grey matter is useful.
I don't know your age but to be judge is having a lot of responsabilities, they know it and given their large amount of cases they probably tend to be a bit nicer when bored.
It's usually when you're overworked that you expediate things
