I've just taken it on at slower time controls 10+5 and 15+10 and have lost 4 games and won 2, and the 2 I won were no plain sailing, I had to defend hard even in those. (If I played a faster control I assume I'd lose every time)
The engine analysis is that in all the games I did not make errors until the end, but I don't subscribe to that. Maybe the positions were still winning for me, but were not easy to win, and queen odds should be simple-to-play positions if I'm playing them properly.
Leela generally castles queen-side and pushes the kingside pawns. So should I aim for same-side castling (the one game I did I lost). Leela also grabs good control of the centre and those minors are doing really well. In one game I won I got a d5 and c5 in fairly quickly which I think helped. Maybe a c6 and d5 would be a good strategy, but I need to come up with a basic plan of where to put the pieces.
If this is how I get beaten even with an extra queen, a player adopting Leela's strategy would be very difficult to play against with that queen.
