King’s indian defense vs grunfeld

I have tried various approaches. …c7-c5 seems reasonable.
@Itsmidnight i play 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. e4 d6
5. f3 O-O 6. Be3 Nc6 7. Nge2 a6 8. Qd2 Na5 very strong novelity which promises an interesting game and against bg5 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. e4 d6
5. f3 O-O 6. Bg5 Nc6 7. Nge2 a6 8. Qd2 Na5
In general terms, as a KID player I thinnk that KID suits well with whose want to play a more or less independent fight, like in your own territory. Is like playing the Sveshnikov against 1.e4 or even the Accelerated Dragon, you will never know the final result, who play the best wins. The Grunfeld is like the Najdorf, tons of theory, but it's well deserved it.
Obviously KID has tons of theory too as @MrPushwood pointed out, and you need to know it. The five book series "Kotronias on the King's Indian" is a great example of it, but also is one of the best ever written books.
I don't agree that Gruenfeld would be too complicated/hard to memorize. I use it for several years now and I like it, the plans are quite simple most of the time. There are some tricks and sidelines you should be aware of, but thats true for every opening.
I started plying it because I had troubles with white playing against it.
I have played both KID and Gruendfeld. I decided the Gruendfeld suits my Personality better.
BTW, I didn't study any book on the KID and Gruendfeld. I just studied the games of Kasparov and Svidler for Gruendfeld and games of Kasparov and Gelfand on the KID.
