Is the Stonewall Defense lost as Black?

I still support that the Stonewall is both a good defense and a good offense.

Off topic: Let's stop using the "good player X played it, so it must be good" fallacy. The Grob and the Albin Counter Gambit both have been use successfully against top competition, but a random game here and there doesn't provide credible evidence.
@Rise I have never teared up as much as I did this article. Such a sob story and Totally heartbreaking and you never quite know an opening like this until it's to late.
Yeah, I play that Qc2,Bf4,Bd3 g4 set up as white and I like it. David Cummings in his book on the English says that this set up as white has a winning percentage close to 80% on his database.
Good players start the game with something like d5, c6, e6, probably Bd6, Nd7, Qc7 and waiting with f5 „endlessly“ until white has committed himself to something which suits them well like g3?!.
The Stonewall is very much alive and a decent weapon. Although I know some refutations I am usually not allowed to play them against the big boys.

Don’t believe in refutation myths. Some move orders may be „refuted“, but not the whole system.
If an opening is good enough to play against a top grandmaster by a professional player, then it should be good enough for the lesser mortals. The correct move order is 1...f5!. White cannot play c4 and Nc3 because of ...Bb4 with full control of central square e4. So white plays g3 and we get the normal stonewall.
