Is sportsmanship totally gone from online chess?

Actually Sarg0n is a helpful and respectful forum poster, he and others just tired of people complaining about things that aren't a big deal. People not saying "good game" doesn't mean they're mad and hate you and are disrespectful...etc.. Also consider that they don't know how you will respond either, they may say "good game" and you could respond with something snarky like "not really" (which YOU probably wouldn't but they don't know that) so people just don't bother to interact much anymore, so for many people not chatting is more of a defensive thing than not actually wanting to be nice.
Online chess is a bad joke. Sportsmanship was never really a thing ever. It is all a one way street.

The only respected of them all...
And OP, on this whole matter of saying "GG" after each and every game...doing so after a sloppy victory could well be looked upon as a hefty dose of sarcasm.

Yeah, his comment felt really respectful.

Sarcasm = testy?

I just thought that his "BS" comment was unnecessary. I don't spend a lot of time in this forum and I haven't read any posts about this before, and just wanted to ask a question. But if I would have know I would upset the very recpectful Sargon and his fans so much I would of course have abstained... :)

Well, feel free to delete this thread, I think I got my answer loud and clear
I usually turn off chat because I've gotten a few real obnoxious people before.
