Is listening to music good while playing chess?

If you want to play chess for fun or passion, then you can do anything while playing. But if you are playing seriously and competitively, then you should really focus on game only.
This is a matter of preference but honestly I tested this once ...I played a Classical Swiss tournament while I was listening to music the whole tournament I won the tournament so I saw okay cool played the next classical swiss tournament without listening to music and I won again but that's not the point the point is that I won with clear plans that I calculated very well I found out that without listening to music your brain space is more free and can do more thinking rather than playing while listening to music unless you're just gonna play bullet mindlessly by all means do so but for longer Time controls such as 15+10 Rapid and 30+0 Classical I advice not listening to music because I really was playing on another level the moment I turned the music off and I could make clear calculations and strategies in game while when I was listening to music ... whatever goes goes I wasn't really even calculating I also did a couple of blunders and stuff because of that so I might say maybe it's just me but listening to music can be a distraction and most often would cloud your judgement when choosing a plan in long time control games
