First, you challenge yourself, explained here:

Then, before you make your first move, turn on notifications.
Now that it's on, make your first move and then get out of the game page.
The notification will pop up saying it's your turn to move against yourself. You click on that notification and it takes you to a new tab where you're now the opposite side. But, if you go to the "current games" in the lichess main page and click on your game, it takes you to the correct side. Either way, you can play on both sides...
It's broken, but thankfully, all games are automatically casual when you challenge yourself.
