I am looking to make some money, and I was wondering whether it was possible to make a public paid-for Chessable course even if you have not written a book. Any idea how to do this?
@arm567 I don't know, but no offense: how is a 1200 going to make a course? Will this be for complete beginners?

Why would someone buy your course and not learn chess at Lichess or any other free resource (there are plenty)?

To be honest, I think what you are planning to do is nothing, but scam.
You can experiment with the website and create a free course that you can share with your friends—those don't need to be published. The others are harsh, but right in that nobody wants to buy courses on Chessable for complete beginners
What would you teach in this book. I have a higher rating and I could not teach a lot about the game. Anyone can learn chess basic for free almost anywhere. You are better off watching game analysis on youtube or if you wanted to buy something there are hundreds of amazing books that you can get for cheap. If you are looking to make some money I would find something else to do. Best of Luck :)
