How do you play pawns + king endgames?

I guess some people don't possess google or youtube these days....that saddens me
What is Google ?

The problem is that nowadays, people learn chess with a mouse and a screen.
What is "en passant", what is "opposition", who is Steinitz ?
Fortunately all this stuff can be learnt on internet if beginners have no club near their home or have no possiblity to buy a book.
you just have to be curious

Next step : learning chess with tik-tok or snapshat ?

, 'shouldering', breakthroughs, learn a few key endgames by heart, learn a few queen v queen endgames.

after you do this, you calculate a lot in practical king endgames.

if you want to go deep, look at related squares-which is appealing. U fortunately, I've never had enough time on the clock when I got there to work out the details OTB. So I am always back to calculate as far, as fast and as broadly as I can.

and it's all not a lot to learn, but when you get there your clock will be low on time so you need to be good at that 'not a lot'.

Do This If you have only a king
