Forums losing their shine

I've not been chatbanned in my six years on this site, and only once ever filed an appeal (it was after one of my posts got deleted under false pretenses). It's not like Lichess is Equilibrium from that Christian Bale movie.
#87 is wrong. Quality is always what you should aim for. In fact, intentionally low-quality posts, or "shitposting", is a form of trolling. Take it from someone who has over 5K posts: quality is what matters.
@tpr dislikes the facts that are untrue about him and his chat ban. He has explained everything to me.
I think you should all calm down. @shadow1414 is right. Forget the corny "everyone deserves a second chance" cliché. Not all chatbans are permanent. There's only so much Lichess can take with the Off-Topic discussions and people keep using it for their depression problems. They should rectify that kind of stuff in PERSON. If @tpr wanted to help then they should've done it in DMs. Regardless you shouldn't be teaching people how to violate ToS and mask it by being helpful. And a lot of these forums have been posted in the wrong area. OTD in GCD? It's just wrong. Respect their decisions and these pointless protests aren't going to make them change their mind.

#92 That's public shaming. Don't argue.
Yeah, I agree with @ShootingStar34 expecially for the first part.

Unchatban everyone huh? You think it's that'll fix the problems? Really?! #1 can you explain me how that'll happen? To get the community better you need to get its people better. Or whatever we else that'll do the job happens, it doesn't happen fast. Example?

Well, my country isn't going much forward. And many if not all, agree on that. Bad government? True. Well, if that's so, and if it's a republic as it is, then just wait for the elections and choose somebody who will lead it forward! Yes but no. You might not have the chance to vote for somebody better simply because there isn't somebody better.
Things won't change with one election.

Kinda same here. No matter if you ban the "bad guys" or just let everyone out, if there isn't somebody who won't post empty topics then the forums will be same. And if we unchatban everyone then I think it'll be even worse. I know at least two chatbanned people who won't make the forums any better.

Makes sense?
@EnBeeTea Very much so. There are a couple that aren't destructive. It's not even the chatbanned users that made the forums lose its shine. It's the people CLOSING their accounts! Whilst I think that it's a good place to chill, you shouldn't allow it to take over your life like football. People shouldn't treat it like a religion, likewise football. Even changing the background didn't bring back the shine lmao. Sticking with default but switched board design to a richer tone.
@ShootingStar34 (the post is shorter than it looks, I just got that style of writing my posts and for so long I think it's better)

"It's not even the chatbanned users that made the forums lose its shine. It's the people CLOSING their accounts!"

Well.... *reminds her of some action she did some time ago* I think that these people just wanna leave, exactly because of the bad community.... Maybe.... Even though it really isn't required to close your acc when leaving.

"Whilst I think that it's a good place to chill, you shouldn't allow it to take over your life like football. People shouldn't treat it like a religion, likewise football."

Yup. Exactly. People so much trust these forums.... I've been shocked how some people want really personal advice from a community that I don't think deserves any trust at all. Most people are SO in the forums that they're blind for the fact that they're not healthy at all!

Btw, I don't think the forum ever had a "shine". Or before all I was marking is some-specifical-person's posts and nothing else? In my opinion they're spiritually really unhealthy because they make you forget about the really important things. No use of being here.

Just because something isn't bad, it doesn't mean that it's good.
@EnBeeTea Yeah true. Show a kid some form of comment section on the internet then they're all good lmao. People shouldn't forget that they have a life outside their YT channel. It's not healthy you're right, especially if you actually sneaked onto the site when you're too young. When I first came, the OTs were barely used. It was usually the other three that were used more. The forums should be the LAST place you go to on the site.
@ShootingStar34 Exactly.

People,
You need to ask yourself what do you want to do, then plan for the next week/month/year/ten years, started from NOW. Put your lifetime goals. Start achieving them now. Does any of this require wasting your time in the forum? No? Then what are you doing? Life is not having fun, life is not for waste.

I hope there is somebody else reading this discussion then me and @ShootingStar34 . *Sigh* this empty world...
