@nh78 there are 10 move stalemates in the Chessbase Mega DB. (most of them are pre-arranged, though)
Here you can find some interesting material including a stalemate in classical chess with 19 plies by Sam Lloyd. (10 white moves, stalemate Black).

@Karagialis how can it work with ZH if the side to be stalemated can drop pieces out of the pocket?

Sorry, I am a variant noob, but there are 16/32 pieces stalemates in the link. This should be stalemate in Crazyhouse as well, shouldn‘t it?
Crazyhouse variant doesn't change the fact that stalemate still is possible.But what is the fastest possible of them?
