you know what? You can do that if you want to, you can use your VPN to increase your ping. but it’s not a precise thing. Besides, I hope you’re only going to use it vs lagging people.

But be aware that you are doing the very thing you are campaigning against.

to this very day, i have never considered using vpn or creating lag as i said above, but even if i did, hell yeah would i only do it against people who lag.

and it wouldn't be doing very thing i'm against, it would be just only solution left to not get disadvantage against laggers, no matter whether they do it intentionally or not.

it would be just my only means to not feel disadvantaged against them so it wouldn't be "you are doing same thing anyway" cause i'd never ever think about doing it against non-laggers, players i have no disadv againt.

You are against lag compensation and lagging. That’s what you suggested you would do.

Im a lagger and im proud of it. Could never have gotten to 1700 ultra if not for lag. I dont do it on purpose of course but i love the results. Ive played on faster internet and it seemed like my moves were twice as slow. It also makes people tilt when i farm them and this is even more hilarious and fun for me. #44 now this is the kind of behaviour I am against. People who don’t lag deliberately but are proud of the advantage they gain because of it.

1. Using VPN to get lag against people with lag cannot be unfair. Both players have the same connection then. (fair)
2. Using VPN to get lag against people without lag is an unfair advantage. (advantage)
3. Not using VPN against laggers. (disadvantage)
4. Not using VPN against people with perfect connection. (fair)

First solution: There are only players with VPN or natural lag (all matches are fair then) (all 1)
Second solution: All players have perfect connection (all matches are fair then) (all 4)
Third solution: You only use VPN against laggers.

Second solution is not possible at the moment because there are no lichess servers all over the world.
Third solution is hardly possible because you would have to switch on/off all the time and even 4/4 connection can be very laggy.
