Defense against 1.d4

If you play well against IQP play QGA. If you play well with one, play Tarrasch. Both are unbalanced. Tarrasch is (for me at least but I prefer playing with IQP). White gets a say in the position that results but it's currently out of favor so you may end up being more familiar with the position than your opponent.
@luca976 Thats the weakest refutation I have ever seen in that case. Black has fine chances after 5. g4 h6, and if black actually know's what they are doing they will play 5. e6 and my bet is on them. Plus, even in master games very few master's play you "refutation" so I really dont know what your on about
If you don't wanna play 1...d5 at all I would probably recommend some opening which plays g6 (like the grünfeld for example) or a c5 opening. There might however be 1...d5 openings you haven't tried yet that can suit you. The 1...d5 openings are normally not bad and getting cramped, so it could just be that the lines you play doesn't match with the opening's theory.
King's Indian "Defense" Isn't a defense - learn theory. My positions aren't usually cramped. It's an attack. It is not bad! That's just my opinion.
The KID cannot be tamed. Even in correspondence chess and computer chess Black wins sometimes. That's is hardly possible with any other opening.
