Well, it was bound to happen.
LPDO means "Loose pieces drop off" and is mentioned in the excellent book "Secrets of Practical Chess" by John Nunn. A piece on an unprotected square is "loose" and therefore a possible tactical weakness.

I have read lot of the theorist Nunn but never heard of that phrase. Possibly because I am not German!
