after I read this new update from Lichess

about the war between Ukraine and Russia
I really can't understand why the CHESS website deals with such a political topic and why this was i.e. there were a lot of wars before this war and more people died in that war. Like the was in Syria (Russa killed a lot of people in Syria starting in 2015 and 2016) and I didn't see any support from Lichess.
And If we will think by the same mentality all US players should be panned from Lichess because the US killed a lot of people in Iraq, Syria, Vietnam, Afghanistan, the Philippines.. etc.
And Killed a lot of people in Japan using atomic pomps.

I am anyway against putting such a political topic on lichess or any Chess website. This was a very stupied mistake from Lichess.

And stop using or supporting Lichess and I will share this topic on all chess groups everywhere.

One more thing.. I think Russia will stop the war because Lichess will not deal with Russa. LOL

Good thing you are not a professional player making a living on FIDE tournaments. You'd have to delete your career since Lichess is following their lead. What I find ironic though is you are not even a subscriber.

Whats different about this war, is it is about ripping away everything Lichess stands for from a nation unprovoked, while at the same time the whole world is threatened and terrorized with nuclear war by a madman.

It is sad to watch how people pretend to feel strong about some particular military conflicts, which by all means are wrong, and just ignore other ones that actually cause at least as many deaths and pain. The answer lies in political and financial interests of course.

At the end of the day, would you expect anything smart from a chess player who has only recently stormed through 1900 after playing for years and years?

As for the war, we all pray that it ends in peace as soon as possible.

Please understand. We are on the brink of world war II and nothing comes close to this in our lifetimes. Not only are we on the brink of world war, we are on the brink of nuclear war which ends all life as we know it.

Not only are we on the brink of world war, we are on the brink of nuclear war which ends all life as we know it.
