I'm not talking about the GO. GO is very different from SHOGI and chess. this is the SHOGI (Japanese chess) http://www.gamedesign.jp/flash/shogi/shogi_e.html
Uh yeah Hellball, Go was Chinese, not Japanese LOL
He was talking about Shogi, which is Japanese.
I have played hardly any more of that than I have Go! (which is now my way of saying next to nothing).

WHO ITS MORE HARDER SHOGI OR CHESS?
I love Lichess and the ELO system, but here's something weird. As a novice I have worked hard to build back up to around 1200 ELO by playing only slower games. But at a couple of local USCF tournaments my rating (after 6 games) is terrible, about 1000. There's only one guy I can beat! I think maybe lichess has a wider range of players who come and go, and the players who stick with it tend to have ELOs grouped in a tighter range, less high and less low than their USCF numbers. Does that make any sense?
Sorta, lichess is looking into upgrading the ELO system to Glicko 2, so stay tuned.
when?

I mean I respect how it works here, and I do not dislike it. Just I could not understand things like these:
- lichess.org/analyse/jufgnvlp/black
- lichess.org/analyse/h0j1sbsx
Really, who can explain why this happens?

Wow, way to ressurect a dead thread.
Lichess has been using Glicko since about 5 months ago.
#38, that happens because those were the first few games of those players. Glicko-2 is not a simplistic system like Elo is. It stabilises after that so you do not see massive point gains like that. This stabilisation process results in more accurate ratings than what Elo can produce.

They should have locked the thread once the Glicko-2 went online.
It would be nice if there would be a Devs forum where they publish the daily updates lichess receives...

It's all detailed on github.com/ornicar/lila/commits/master
A bit technical, for sure, but as precise as it gets.
