We need very simple chess opening trainer, and you?
As a beginner, I've often thought it would be great to have a site that would let me play the first 10 to 15 moves of a game (or until I make a poor move, perhaps), where I could just repeat, repeat, repeat, until some of it sticks — not necessarily this site, but somewhere. Anybody know if there are opening trainer sites something like that?
Learn ideas behind openings, don't even try to memorize variations as a beginner. Buy or download chess opening books and DVD's. For starters, study Chess Openings Explained for White/Black by Dzindzichashvili.
chess365.com has a free opening explorer i think..
sorry it was 365chess.com here is the url: http://www.365chess.com/opening.php
It is a great opening explorer, but we do not need statistic, or else. We need very simple opening Trainer and Database. Something like the Chess openings on Tablet Pc / android. No statistic because that is very specious. Every time when I choose better step by statistic, I amplify it - either is it good or wrong.
