chess is 99% tactics !!!!!

"Chess is 99% tactics" is nonsense. That is only true if you know all the positional stuff.
In the lower ranks, yes, superficially it looks like games are decided only by tactics.
It is not true. Tactics spring from positional factors.
#3 << I think 99% for tactics is far too high. You've got memory, pattern recognition, patience, self control, creativity.....>> .

Yes.

The Inner Game of Chess -- GM Andy Soltis , Noted, -----> "Every player has heard the saying, Chess is 99 percent tactics. It isn't. It's 99 percent calculation "

Suppose Rashid Nezhmetdinov at his peak could regularly calculate accurately 12 ply ahead even in fairly complicated positions. Why would Anatoly Karpov at his peak, even if he only trusted his calculations to 10 ply ahead in the most complex positions , probably score over 75 % against him in a peak to peak match between the
two men ? Karpov had an ultra light touch and could use his calculation skills to identify subtle changes in positional balance, piece placement / strength, and piece activity before Nezhmetdinov ever even knew what was happening to him.

And what was the quote about Bobby Fischer ? Something like, he virtually never had any bad pieces. Because he had such a refined sense of what could happen positionally that he always either re-deployed his pieces, or exchanged them, before they could become bad. His opponents were left with bad pieces.
Computer have taught us that tactics lurk everywhere. Even undeserved and unpositional ones, almost "random".

The quote has be assigned to Richard Teichmann.

"i can't do the tactics in the game ,if you give like a puzzle i will solve but in the game i can't i dont know why
any help ?"
When you solve puzzles, how much time per puzzle do you take?
When you play a game and you miss a tactic, how much time did you think about your move?

Teichmann was right: chess is 99% tactics.
Engines provide the proof.
Engines are weak at openings and endgames without their table bases.
Engines are weak at strategy.
Nevertheless engines easily beat all humans and they do so by means of tactics.
