Board Vision Drills by Michael de la Maza

Hi, has anyone tried de la Maza board drills? Many people highly recommend it.

I went through the first set of drills, forks and skewers, for 14 days. Now I will do knights.

Here is me doing the drills:

@Triangel the point of the exercise is just to make a skewer, in order to be able to see that possibility on the board in the real game, when calculating. Yes, with only two pieces on the board king can protect the rook with Kd4/e5, but in the real game these squares could be controled or occupied by other pieces, and then this skewer really wins a piece. Or you can have the skewer with a bishop instead of queen and then just win the exchange. The geometry is the same.

This is not tactics, it's board visualization drill, to be able to see all skewers and forks in the position instantly.
