Breaking the Silence

a lot of people talking about lack of evidence have not fully read the article, and they want to shout whenever they can "I am a poor male and women don't consider me so they are baaad".
my friend, there is therapy, or a time machine if you still live in the '800.

Nice sanctimonious and patronizing post. You've repeatedly misquoted and misrepresented my views even after I kept on clarifying them. Kindly do not reply again, would prefer not to drag this conversation with you otherwise things might get heated.

Some people would scream allegations, paranoia, and conspiracies now :)

Sexism is a real issue. It would be interesting to analyze how much of it is related to chess and why. The article touches on some aspects briefly. If indeed sexism is more prevalent in chess than in other sports, then perhaps there are deeper psychological, cultural, and social factors to this.
Without evidence beyond reasonable doubt, no one should be convicted in a criminal court of law. However, just as there is a right to free speech legally, that does not mean there are no consequences for inappropriate behavior. Every individual on the planet is in charge of his or her own integrity and perception of integrity. If you allow that to be abridged by shady (if not criminal - just unproven beyond reasonable doubt) behavior then you deserve to face those social consequences. This is not to mention the potential civil liabilities individuals and organizations should face if the lower threshold of proof is met. This response by lichess is warranted, and these organizations and individuals should face serious social and monetary consequences (and of course criminal if that high bar is also met).
I read "alleged" all over the article, but there doesn't seem to be any evidence. I'm all for safety, protection, justice, etc. but you can't punish someone without evidence. Sad wokism...

Not sure what this has to do with what I was posting about...

But you have made an excellent point. My initial reaction is that proving liable in court is nearly impossibly so it is not worth it but I need to think about this some more.

Not only it is bad for lichess to turn political, it looks they are supporting something which may not exist at all. Instead of technologically advanced, open and free platform, we may be about to see another propaganda tribune for "woke-metoo-climatechange-lgbtq+-they-bad-us-good" crowd.
