I mean, there was no reason to not implement it. The "That site has been a fantastic excuse for us not to implement the feature natively for a long time, because it did the job so well" is just baffling to me. You want to draw the traffic to your site, not divert it to an external one. But its good to hear that they realized it at least.
@Alientcp I think lichess cares more about people enjoying chess then it does about having as many users as possible.
