2019 Summer Marathon

Even if I play 24 hours straight I won't get close to top 100, but it's fun to play always
I think that, in order to perform well (ie in the top 100) in this tournament, one needs to either have those 24 hours VERY well organized, or (which is more probable) arrange multiple players (friends, teammates etc.) to play from the same account, taking "shifts". It might sound unethical but it's not against the rules and probably MANY people will do it (at least many of those who finish in the top 100).

True friends are found by good deeds, merit, and honesty.

Honest chess players prefer to lose, than to win with assistance.

Merit goes to the ones that do good.

Good deeds speak for themselves.

Thankyou for the amazing marathons.
@al_ilinov Sorry to break your little bubble but, ... someone has to.

People who don't own the account do not care about the picture of a trophy on it and even among the one who does (own the account), not so many of them care enough to dedicate more than several hours to that goal (see previous tournaments)

Plus even if they cared they would need their friends to be at the same level than them otherwise it's not even worth the time, thatis not easy task.

It becomes a bit more plausible if you consider random person coming from a forum or something like that.

It surely depends on the situation and on the mindset but I'll be very surprised if there were even two persons doing what you said.
