Lichess v2 is here

Some nitpicking on top of what everyone else is saying:

Dividing lines between moves in the game history/in the panel on the right in general would be nice.

Also that fade effect on the games lobby is mildly annoying
This redesign is not good for non-mobile users. I had to zoom out to 75% to be able to use it. Please give us an option to select which version we want to use. I 100% prefer v1.
Great, I'd like to contribute with some ideas that I had to improve the best chess site in the internet, tell me what you think, why they can't be done or maybe the can be done and they are already working on them, or hopefully, they are even new ideas :)

Own puzzles/tactics: The option "learn from your mistakes" is great, but what if you could select, say your last 100 analized games, and the system shows you postions from that "learn from your mistakes" from those last 100 games, randomly? You will learn from your own mistakes without having to go game by game and not knowing from which game the position is, because there is the risk that when you open one game to practice, you remember that game from previous studies or something and the challenge is not a challenge anymore. This option is especially usuful for variants, in my opinion.

Theme puzzles: That's it, having the option to solve puzzles by theme. I only want back rank problems, or checkmate in 2, etc. One way to classify the puzzles would maybe show at the end of every puzzle and optional tag to which users can click, like the like or not like tactics button that we already have but for back rank etc, and when enough have been collected, then that tactics has a theme already.

Bughouse: Needless to say, possibly the most popular variant of chess. I am not a fan myself of it, but I think it is necessary to add it to the site but all those who enjoy it.

Correspondance tournaments: I understand that they were here before, and I think they should be back. With 3 or 5 days control, stuff have enough time to close accounts for cheating if that's the problem. Also some minimun games played or time and activity since the account was open could also be a requirement to join it. And the same goes for the leaderboard. I read somewhere that the board was removed because many people rush in their games and it is not really correspondance for all of us. That's up to everyone, it is the same that if I decide to berserk all my games and my rating for 5 minutes games is not real because I am using 2,5 when my opponent has 5...Although I understand that the leaderboard might not be back at all, I just wanted to mention it because I think it is nice to have it, but require a minumun of games to show there (like 50)

Return of monthly and weekly 3check: I don't know if I cannot see for some reason, but I don't see those two events happening anymore. It would be nice to have them back :)

Puzzle rush: this is not my idea, I read it somewhere in the forums when peole were talking about V2 a month ago or so. The idea of hourly leader, daily, weekly and ever also sounds great, not only for this option but for something else too (What? I don't know yet :) to make it more competitive.

Also, chess insights should get data from all your analized games (for instance, for me for correspondance only gets 1 game) I guess.

Cheers!
lichess.dev is already better. IS CHESSBOARD IN CENTRE OF THE SCREEN ? that is the first question I have when I talk with my friends about chess sites. After the few games I have played this morning I have a headache
@yueh I agree that centering the board by resizing the clock and notation part would be better
@lovlas
I feel for you dude, having to answer to all this negativity. It's honestly mind-boggling to see all these people trying their hardest to find problems in everything. It is like their whole worlds have been rumbled when in reality it is about some cosmetic changes to a chess site....

This is not the Israel-Palestine conflict people! There are more important things in the world to get upset over.
Most of you will probably survive this change, believe it or not.

@NoobBatter @Puredication
You are just too much. You are complaining about having to zoom out, even though you already have zoomed out and now it seems to work? Really? I am fairly certain the Lichess-team won't cry too much if you switch to another chess-site.

Sorry, I love this site and will never leave, but I do agree with all who are complaining about the sizing issues. I feel that all those who are enthusiastic are one a mobile or tablet, and I had the same feeling as someone mentioned about Lichess going the way of Windows 8 (to a lesser extent).
All the rest is positive, I am sure. I know it is a bit rich to make oneself heard only when things are not perfect anymore, which is close to what we've been used to. So, more than just a complaint, I also want to say thank you for the work and making sure LC remains relevant. Minor tweak about the size if you can manage, but that is all. Thanks.
Great work lichess !! First I didn't like it but after I played a game and see other features and the perfect use of any screen , I just love it so much ❤❤❤
