Berserk ! It's a question of honor

There has been a lot of discussion about Berserk since. But i will stay with my opinion. It's like in 1850 when accepting a gambit was a question of honor. Good honorable players go Berserk most of the time only chicken don't :)
It is not always so. Berserk could also be considered a lack of respect for your opponent.
@ Ghiaccioloscacchi: Thats exactly what i mean it's like throwing the gauntlet a question of honor to take it and duel. An honorable man would have always picked up the gauntlet and accept the duel. If someone going berserk and you don go as well it's kind of chicken duel.....like ok i duel but i will take the advantage. It's the chicken way.I stay with my opinion it's like Harakiri a question of honor. i guess the berserk icon show even a man that cuts himself into two pieces like Harakiri :)
Courage and stupidity have always gone hand in hand - as have cowardice and wisdom.
Um, if I click on a 3+0 tournament then I don't want to play bullet chess, perhaps because I'm not good at it, or just because I don't feel like it. The game was fair to begin with, if you want to accept a disadvantage, go ahead, its not like I forced it on you.
I'm sorry but I don't see playing the time control I signed up for as being a chicken. I don't join a 10+0 game expecting to be playing a 5+0 game, I like 10. If my opponent is similarly rated and I'm in the mood, I'll berserk iff they berserk.
Basically there's no reason to go for berserk unless I'm playing for win the tournament. But if my opponent is rated like 500 points lower, then I'd go for it because it'd be more exciting. What I really can't understand is berserk against higher rated opponent.
Berserk is handicapping your own time control. If it was honourable to have both cut their time, then it would have been an automatic feature.

The main reason to handicap a game is when you know you're able to play out the game in half that time and still probably win.

The honourable thing is letting each person play out their game the way they want.

Time is paramount to making good moves.

@HORRORMAKER Berserk only works if you know you can complete the game. If the opponent does not feel that they can complete the game by berserking, then why should they be forced to play a time handicapped losing game? They might as well resign as soon as you press the berserk button. That way it would be better for them to not start something they cannot finish.
