In a blitz or bullet game, this wouldn't matter at all. Moving the pieces would slow you down so much you would lose off time. In classical, although it may technically be cheating, I doubt if anyone would care if you had a side board because they have a board right in front of them. And you have no idea what they are going to do so you can't accurately play out the scenario on your board. If it helps, I would go ahead with it
After reading alot of reactions, i came to the conclusion that it's technically cheating, so i'll stop doing it.

It's not cheating. There's now an analysis board function, apparently (though I've never used it myself).
the analysis board is only for correspondence chess, of course.
