Is 1000 rating very bad?
@Pixie_dust_queen - A 1000 rating just says, there's room for improvement. - Recommend these Lichess basic chess courses: - https://lichess.org/learn - https://lichess.org/practice - Completing these courses will greatly improve your game...and you won't be such a beginner anymore. :]

@Pixie_dust_queen It's hard to judge your skill level since you play bullet almost exclusively. A large component of success in bullet involves mouse speed and flagging, rather than actual positional and tactical play. A 2000 rapid or classical might only have a 1500 bullet rating, and for the reasons above there is nothing wrong with it.
Try playing more rapid and classical games for improvement, and analyze for mistakes afterwards. Eliminating simple tactical blunders can get you to about 1500 rapid on this site. Puzzles help a lot with tactical vision as well.
Good luck, all the best

If you're new to chess, it's not an unexpected rating. Chess is a tough game, and it takes both time and effort to improve, but it can be done! One of the best things you can do is to play slower games - it gives you the time to think and develop the analysis and evaluation processes in your head. As you get better with that and more experience, the speed will come. Also, make sure to practice your tactics - the biggest thing you can do to improve is simply to stop making blunders and giving away your pieces for free. Taking a minute to ask yourself "what would my opponent play after I make this move" is a great habit to get into. Learning the basic mating patterns and endgame ideas (like promoting a pawn and how to checkmate with a queen and king) will also help to improve your strategy. The practice will pay off and I'm certain that you will find it both rewarding and fulfilling :)

Hanging pieces is what decides the outcome of games at your level. For example, see here:

You have to watch out for both yours and your opponent's hanging pieces and threats. Classical chess helps with this.

When I started lichess my ratings were something like 800. For a starter 1000 is not bad. I have improved a lot, so you can too @Pixie_dust_queen

So you are asking people for advice but don't seem to want to heed any.
You say you play bullet because it's fun, then play it, but don't expect to learn your chess basics through it. You have to choose.
