1800 player can't mate with K + Q vs. K

@ the various people who complain about "respectful resignation" or whatever: players above 1800 (!) MUST learn how to win with Q+K against bare King. Anyone should know this. This is really chess 101!!!
Villain had every right not to resign -props to him-and hopefully white has learned something.
Suggesting that someone is entitled to your resignation when he actually cannot do this basic checkmate is ASTONISHING (which means he's harmless even after having promoted his extra pawn in an advantageous position and it is quite an isssue, because how chess games are won exactly, outside tactical lucky strikes following middle game mess and bad positional decisions from the loser).

Reminds me the good ol'times when some bodybuilders trained their upper body exclusively and never legs.
K+Q v K is the most basic of the most basic mate. If you can't deliver it, and fast, you really need to work your fundamentals.
