@kindkingsam While the Stafford refutation is better known these days, the Stafford is still played quite a bit.
As to the Caro, @nikhildixit has a blog post called https://lichess.org/@/nikhildixit/blog/how-to-counter-caro-kann-defense/ODxRqZEt on his blog, check that out if you are not sure what to play.

Great blog! However, on the bit with the Englund gambit, it seems you've put 'wing-rate' instead of 'win-rate' (unless you mean to measure the aerial capacity of certain openings)
Looking forward to more :)

The Englund trap (along with it's sisters ICBM trap in the Scandi and Nf3-g5, d3-Bd3 in the Caro) have been around for many years.

I privately observed one similar aspect, although I do not have any proves = numbers or charts. But approximately in January last year there was six days of free content from Avetik's Chessmood. For six days I choose to learn only one rare opening which I was not really good in - and the result was that I watched all Scandinavian for white course. And in the end of January Gotham chess launched his chessly course: Scandi for black - and also some youtube videos.
And suddenly "every one" was playing Scandi for black. And my luck that Avetik's course was really prepared for Gotham lines brought me a lot of rating here in lichess. It was really good timing = pure luck :D

Yes, but as you can see the Ne7 line was played 0 times before it was popularized, so it's not always just enlarging an existing trap.
