Daniel Naroditsky: The Legend

I have made a study dedicated to one of my mentors when it not only comes to chess, yet also how to be a great human being. This study is dedicated to him and his favourite opening the Jobava-London or as I like to call it the "Danya-London." He was not only a talented player, commentor and educator but also a great human. He tought me everything from the Catalan to the Danya London. I also give my most sincere condolences to Danya and his family. I hope we can popularize the Danya london under his name posthumously.

Oh he's my model grandmaster. So sad, he died before his time

Deeply saddened, really. Such a legend gone long before he had to. We will forever miss you, Danya. R.I.P.

How’d he die?

Not revealed yet. But looking at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmzLJJRL3uI you can see he was not in a good place mentally. This is not the Danya people know or used to seeing. It's heart-breaking. Whether it is medication (or lack thereof), lack of REM sleep or pressure from people, or all of those things, who knows. But there is somebody he's talking to in the video, so some people were probably aware of his situation but couldn't do anything about it. May he rest in peace.
