Fun stats about the Lichess 2025 Autumn Marathon

Really nice blog!
Only mistake that I saw: @schwarzerrabe, the player with most games had 9% win rate, not 8:)

I immediately downloaded the tournament data when the tournament finished. Probably some data changed after the tournament (is normal, for example cheaters can be taken out a bit later which influences data). I will need to rerun the report :-)

I did rerun the report and now @schwarzerrabe has indeed 9% win rate :-)

Why my rank is now #856 not #861 ;)

Why my rank is now #856 not #861 ;)

Thanks for adding most rating point gained lost as my suggestion.
One problem is the player who lost the most points "lost: null points"

There have been cheaters that were banned so you moved up five spaces

Something weird indeed. This player is not complete in the data I retrieved from the API. I will re-retrieve the data (maybe I was just too quick retrieving the data 2 seconds after the tournament finished..). Also I should exclude these edge cases if they happen. Going to work on it!

thanks for the write-up. I thought that I was doing well for my low rating but see that I needed to play about 400 more games to be competitive - wow! I did pull off an upset of about 1000 pts so I was wondering what was the largest upset in the tournament?
