My goals are always unrealistic. I dream of becoming a grandmaster one day. Considering I turn 40 this year I realise this is just impossible, but I won't let that thought ruin my dream. Impossible dreams fuel me.
When I enjoy things I get obsessed with them and I think I have good fantasy that keeps my thoughts right over the edge of reality.

I bet you will run way faster when the final day arrives. I used to run competitions and I was never able to achieve the same times on training days compared to competitions. It was also impossible for me to simulate the same feeling in my legs on training days. There were moments when I didn't even feel my legs anymore. I just hoped they would keep going forward and not make me fall. I think it's because of the extra adrenaline.

You will achieve grandmaster if you persevere and I think it's better to do little goals and then the grandmaster goal!

My goal is just to maybe have a title by the time I get into college. However, having big goals is very good since it psychologically tricks your brain. Take this example where you want to be able to do 10 pushups. If you have this goal, you will probably get tired by the 7th or 8th pushup. However, if you set your goal to be 50 pushups, you will probably get tired by the 30th pushup, and there would still be a long way to go.
