I am bit confused too.
I only know that lichess features "blunders" and "mistakes".

The problem is that the algorithm which awards the ''brilliants'' is trash (mostly). Hand-picked brilliants from an human who has atleast an expert understanding of chess does make much more sense.

True, he only got so many brilliants because he was ignoring the bishop. The brilliant's weren't what he did, it's what he didn't do, and the fact that he was "farming" brilliant moves bypasses the algorithm.
