  1. glbert go sgis! go team mods!
  2. glbert sgis played the scandinavian?! i take it back. go jmcginty15!
  3. Lukhas agreed
  4. ErinYu Unfortunately, the Scandinavian is a good opening. Its badness perplexes the white pieces and lulls them into playing unsound moves.
  5. somethingpretentious like the benoni?
  6. ErinYu Exactly like the Benoni :)
  7. glbert like the alekhine?
  8. ErinYu No, the Alekhine is actually very sound since it develops a piece on move 1.
  9. kajoM I think that Scandinavian is better than Benoni. You lose few tempos, but at least your pawn structure is solid and sound...
  10. Lukhas Bc1 exclam
  11. Lukhas ready for next game, 4D chess :)
  12. glbert i agree. bc1 is either a gm move or a blunder. definitely nothing in between.
  13. sgis f5 followed by Bxf3 should win a pawn i guess
  14. sgis trying to see why I shouldn't go for that
  15. glbert because your e-pawn is hanging
  16. sgis e6 will be super weak, for starters
  17. kajoM That's saying it mildly.
  18. glbert super weak, approaching hanging.
  19. sgis ah he has Bxh7... so that's why hehe
  20. glbert in the limit.
  21. kajoM Bxh7?
  22. glbert what?
  23. glbert but there's a pawn on f5
  24. kajoM Bxh7 after f5 looks illegal
  25. glbert how can white have Bxh7 with a pawn on f5.
  26. kajoM Now it's legal.
  27. glbert very legal.
  28. glbert and pretty good too.
  29. kajoM Is it basically mate if he takes?
  30. glbert is it?
  31. glbert it might be.
  32. Lukhas not after Kg6
  33. Lukhas at least not a mate in 2
  34. glbert nice.
  35. kajoM Kg6 is not really a move you like to make though
  36. Lukhas yeah
  37. momor No he can play h8
  38. Lukhas especially if you missed Bxh7+
  39. glbert Kg6 and suddenly i like black and the nicely centralized K.
  40. kajoM Hyper-delayed Bongcloud
  41. glbert mmmm. hyper-delayed.
  42. glbert just like the trains in switzerland.
  43. ErinYu I wanna say... Kg6 g4?
  44. kajoM yes
  45. Lukhas oh yeah I didn't say Kg6 was good
  46. Lukhas it's just not the same mate in 2
  47. Lukhas it's... interesting?
  48. sgis so Kx Ng5+ Kg6 Qe3+ Kf6 what's the follow up? Ne4+ I go Ke7.... Am I missing an obvious mate somewhere?
  49. mathijshuis Kx Ng5+ Kg6 and g4 traps the bishop, right?
  50. mathijshuis oh nvm erin already said that haha
  51. sgis I just don't see it…
  52. mathijshuis ehm, now this is just losing for white right? (21(
  53. mathijshuis )
  54. sgis oh boy… What is happening to me this game… Pieces flying at my king non stop
  55. somethingpretentious almost trapped
  56. somethingpretentious oh Rx
  57. somethingpretentious woops
  58. somethingpretentious Qxd4 though?
  59. somethingpretentious most things should be winning I guess, I can't see any mate for white really
  60. glbert i agree. should run out of pieces soon.
  61. sgis expecting Rxd6 haha
  62. somethingpretentious Qe5 pls :D
  63. somethingpretentious really though Nd5 looks strong
  64. somethingpretentious maybe not now... Nd5 Bx Qx Qx Kx c4
  65. sgis need to speed up a little now …
