  1. cacheyourdreams was expecting 4...Qb6, turns out that just looking at one really long mainline might not be sufficient prep :D. This could transpose tho
  2. cacheyourdreams looking at something like 10.Bd3 e6 11.0-0 Ng4 12.h3 Ne5 and wondering how annoying that knight is
  3. cacheyourdreams probably quite annoying because to hold onto c4 and the lsb I'd need to play Be2 I guess, but do I have f4 coming after that to kick out?
  4. cacheyourdreams hmm, maybe I can delay castle and play h3 here (11) to avoid all that?
  5. cacheyourdreams 11.Nh5 is another idea that just occurred to me
  6. cacheyourdreams I do wonder if I should even be trying to castle kingside in this position, as well
  7. cacheyourdreams if I play 11.h3 and he goes Nd7 to try and get to e5 I guess I maybe can play f4 there too, probably overthinking this move way too much
  8. cacheyourdreams maybe I should have taken the opportunity to play Nh5, haha, but I'm really not sure I should be trying to trade those knights off or not
  9. cacheyourdreams I didn't put too much though into 12...b5, perhaps I should have. b2 might be a problem for me in some line?
  10. cacheyourdreams maybe I don't need to worry though, hard to figure it out, there's so many different capture orders
  11. cacheyourdreams yeah, he's putting another prep move in for b5, guess he's trying to develop the lsb on the queenside somehow, otherwise that piece was
  12. cacheyourdreams really closed out before
  13. cacheyourdreams a4 might be interesting, I shouldn't really be putting all my pawns on light squares though, right
  14. cacheyourdreams maybe he will go 13...Bd7
  15. cacheyourdreams I'm still not sure b5 immediately is great for him
  16. cacheyourdreams seems to have gone offline with around 20 minutes left on the clock
  17. cacheyourdreams okay, looks like he's back
  18. cacheyourdreams yeah, guess he's really gunning for b5 or something :)
  19. cacheyourdreams shame that Nxf5 doesn't seem to work
  20. cacheyourdreams so after 20. Rb1 or something, Be5 traps the rook, huh?
  21. cacheyourdreams kinda unfortunate
  22. cacheyourdreams b6 is covered twice, so I don't think Qb3 is anything
  23. cacheyourdreams 20...Qe8 and I might even just go Rxd5 and Qxc5, b2 does hang though, hmm :/
  24. cacheyourdreams maybe I should be looking at e4 ideas, too
  25. cacheyourdreams wait, Qe8 I just have Qxc5 don't I, haha
  26. cacheyourdreams can I even consider that here, too?
  27. cacheyourdreams Nxf5 threat after Qxc5
  28. cacheyourdreams rook probably still getting trapped here, sigh
  29. cacheyourdreams well, I guess I have a6 after Be5 and Bd7, still, this is probably bad
  30. cacheyourdreams I guess his bishops are just going to be too much here
  31. cacheyourdreams probably I should have just taken on g3 and hoped for the best
  32. cacheyourdreams I probably had like, Rf2 or something after Nxe3
  33. cacheyourdreams of course, now if 24...Kh8 fxg3 Nxe3 things are a lot worse with my queen on c4
  34. cacheyourdreams can't really find a sqaure that doesn't fail tactically for the rook on the back rank, now
  35. cacheyourdreams 39...Kh3 probably wins
  36. cacheyourdreams yeah, computer agrees with Nf4, I didn't actually see it, just Nxe3, so I'm lucky I avoided that line, guess I believed you ^_^
  37. cacheyourdreams damn, I was looking at Nxf5 a lot through that middlegame, never thought it worked though
  38. cacheyourdreams 22. Nxf5
  39. cacheyourdreams I mean, it's still not great but yeah
  40. Lelouch_Vi_Brittania I was always a bit scared of it haha
  41. Lelouch_Vi_Brittania you have 3 pawns for a piece and my king is unsafe, looks even
  42. Lelouch_Vi_Brittania thanks for the game- see you!
  43. cacheyourdreams yeep, thanks. Good luck int he league
