There were players who never learned how to play antichess. Instead, they decided to invert the rules. They endowed one piece with royalty and forbade pawns from promoting to it. All pieces began obliged to protect it. Those bad players even came up with a special move to build a castle. They called this weird variant "chess" (short for normal antichess).
