7 Day Tactics Challenge: Day 1 (Beginner)
A 7 day tactics challenge that gets harder each day!Introduction
Update: Day 2 of the Challenge is now out!
Hi everyone! Welcome to the 7 day tactics challenge. The premise is simple: for 7 days in a row, I'll post 3 puzzles that get harder each day, and you can solve them! All of these puzzles are taken from my own games.
For each puzzle, you can score points using the following system:
You have 3 strikes per puzzle. Get as far in the puzzle as you can before making 3 mistakes, and then check the solution. Add up your points up to the last move you solved.
For example, if you make it through 2 moves that each give 2 points, and then make your 3rd mistake, then you'll get 4 total points for the puzzle.
After you've solved all 3 puzzles, add up all your points together, then check the section at the end of this post to see how you did!
Puzzle 1: Tricky Knight
Puzzle 2: Overworked and Underpaid
Puzzle 3: Double Cross
Ranking:
Maximum points: 17
0 to 3 points: Newbie. These puzzles might be a little difficult, but that's fine!
4 to 8 points: Beginner. These puzzles are right at your level, and you're doing great!
9+ points: Intermediate or higher. These puzzles were easy for you! If you want to see how strong you really are, try solving some of the harder tactics to come in the next few days!
If you're proud of your score, then share it in the comments!
