GM Ju Wenjun won the FIDE Women's World Chess Championship 2025 and is now a five-time Women's World Chess Champion, just like the legendary GM Nona Gaprindashvili! A draw in Game 9 against challenger GM Tan Zhongyi was enough to secure the title with 6.5 to 2.5 points. Read our final recap blog, again with annotations by WGM Petra Papp.
